Such is beauty, much is beauty in the eye of one who only beholds beauty.

And the loser is ...

I had thought the White-throated Kingfisher fled at my approach until it dived instead of soared, proceeded to thrash about on the ground!

The winner was still in the reckoning.

The Garden Fence Lizard might not be bigger but was certainly longer than its predator, still all limbs and will!

Still very much alive to be defeated.

The pause before the kill?!

Was it over, finally?!

So it seemed .... as the bigger loser was ME, as the kingfisher eventually fled with its catch, denying me a closure!

Zilch unnatural

Natural catch, natural feed, natural pose ... nary unnaturalness

 Pretty fearless and unperturbed whether it was encounter at the bukit or taman.

Waiting game

Will they or will they not, and they kept me waiting.

 

And I continued to wait, as one had almost frozen as if in apprehension.

And then one did, but still neither closed in, and neither did the pair proximate.

Oriole in the hill

 Common enough, yet not so common in the bukit, so it's a treat to sight it here.
