Abandoned, for better

It was sad but perhaps for the better as this nest was obviously very, in fact too open, for safety.  When I first saw the Black-winged Flycatcher-shrike attempting to nest in this open cup, I was thrilled.  A couple of days later it looked like the nest has been abandoned.
