Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

When nature dictates

When nature dictates
Even the almighty sun
has to struggle through
dark clouds,
Truly, there is
a time for darkness
and a time for light
Nature cannot be hurried.

Keeping up the fight (Save Taman Rimba Kiara)

The fight goes on
to preserve and protect
What should be natural,
What should be,
A natural surrounding
for man and creatures to co-exist
albeit in a man-inspired environment.

(A protest picnic was held on 21 August to follow up on the stand that the park should be left alone, against a ludicrous decision to build a mind-boggling project of 9 blocks 52 storeys apartments here)

A little poster that says a lot

A place to play, a place to idle

A great occasion to share thoughts and food
Sweet music that even the birds will not shy away from

An activity that so needs an open space

Even the cars were not spared a celebration

The smile and happiness that says it all - don't steal our park

A drone to capture the event

With a little help

When it looks
like all may be lost,
A little helping hand
could return
What should be returned
to its original.

Overwhelming invasion
Back to what it should be

And new beginning

More to come

Heartening and refreshing

Any place will do

Any place
is a good place
to hang out,
If one can find
what one seeks,
Alone, or with others.

on a broken twig

a drying discard

in the water

on a leaf

up on a tree

even whilst hanging free

on the ground

Can't keep them down forever

From the down and out
Comes new growth,
You really can't keep
a good thing down.
