The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Near Goshawk encounter

I had literally walked beneath this Crested Goshawk which must have been feeding on its squirrel prey which looked half-consumed.  It flew out suddenly, just metres above me clutching its prey and landed, also metres above but must have been spooked by my aiming at it because it took off again.




And there was obviously no sharing as this female was calling out, in vain, at a nearby tree.
