Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Bulbul below

It seemed easy to cross path with the Striped-throated Bulbul those days.  This time this one just flew right by my feet to perch below whilst I was taking a breather, guessed it was not even aware that I was there.



Fortunately even as I had to step back to take a shot, it didn't fly off immediately.
