I had thought after its encounter with the intrusive long-tailed macaques the Barred Eagle-Owl would have kept away from this taman. But it was certainly a pleasant surprise to chance upon it again on an overcast morning, huddled, facing towards where I gathered it perceived was the greatest threat, and it was spot on, as metres away, a few macaques were indeed loitering on the ground.
But this time the morning was as peaceful as it would have wished for, perhaps except for me, trying to be as light-footed as possible below, but its instinct kicked in promptly as it was already alerted.
The morning hideout was much better than before, as there was no open view from any angle however I tried for one.
Happy to leave it behind as I walked off, the gathering clouds threatening to burst any time.
