The muddy look of the pond could put one off but is probably due to silting. Bukit Kiara being the water source for Sungai Penchala rivers and streams, does boast of good water quality supporting aquatic lifeforms such as shrimps and crabs, and this downstream pond probably shares some of these lifeforms.
And so the reason for the regular return of the Blue-eared Kingfisher to the pond, but it wasn't a good day unfortunately this time round for this little young one as there was not a single catch as it scanned ceaselessly from its perch.
And so it moved on
And the patience of a fisher-bird ticked on, once again.
Unfortunately the patience of this human was no match against this avian creature as it continued to serenely scan from its new perch whilst the human departed from the scene.
