Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Its appeal may be only to its owner

Some trees bear flowers, some trees carry discards
Nevertheless, beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Flying colours

We are grateful they colour our lives.

Brilliance in the sun

Gorgeous hued-back

Hidden, still its colours give it away

Showing off its brightness

Almost a camouflage

Seek and you will find.

Blue-tailed bee-eaters up high only visible to searching eyes
Ylang ylang flower curls to differ from its leaves

To each his own

Everyone has his favourite haunt.

This my hideout, my playground

A place where I come and go freely

When imagination takes over

Being in being.

A knee ... who leans there?

A trunk ... who rests here?

A shell ... who lies here?

That which hold me, that which anchor me

That which run over, that which run into.

Sometimes we trail behind

Sometimes we spread beyond

Sometimes we run over each other
