The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Crested Goshawk

A distant encounter with a Crested Goshawk that inevitably ended in mutual spotting!

And flexing and preening was not for drying after a rain but also on a hot day to dispel heat.

A common repeated left to right movement of its head when this raptor caught the presence of a big lens aimed at it.

Camera-shy!!

Pin-striped Tit-Babbler

I would not have believed it if I had not witnessed it myself, a Pin-striped Tit-babbler holding of a leaf to seek?!

Almost child-like, it scanned a dry loose leaf in its claw for a catch.

And the only luck was still among green leaves.

Ruby-cheeked Sunbirds

However one looks, beauty is beauty, even the female Ruby-cheeked Sunbird impressed with its bright orange throat, nonetheless charming than the stunning male.

And how these two could forage, entertaining with their speediness, and hide-and-seek antics, grabbing and holding on for support, burrowing into clusters of leaves.

Purple Heron

One of the most beautifully colour-matched bird - of rusty-brown, purplish, greyish hues, and on this occasion, made it a perfect blend with its background.

The Purple Heron would not have been so relaxed if it had known that it was been watched.
