Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A tragic sight

When the end comes,
unexpected,
Helpless,
but life goes on for the other.
(This Brahminy Kite died probably from having consumed a poisoned rodent as it was foaming.  It could have found the rodent in a neighbouring area where poison was used to get rid of rodents.  This is so tragic because this pair has taken up residence in the taman for more than 3 years.)

A tragic discovery

Disbelief, the other took off, circled round to come back again

Helpless

Still helpless

Almost beyond help, itwas later pushed off the branch to drop straight to the ground

Flew down to watch

Struggling to get up

Hoping

To no avail

Looked like the end

But looked like there was a last attempt to push up

Finally, motionless
