Still, these images tell so much - it's obviously an adult male and a sub-adult male, with the adult feeding the younger one, and how these birds clung to the broken branch could actually make one feel dizzy just looking at them!
The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Absolute Woodpeckers!
It's always absolute delight to get a pair of birds in a single frame, and in this case, even if it means I get a less than sharp, less than ideal images. Generally woodpeckers are not easy to shoot because they are constantly on the move, and for these images, the Common Flameback Woodpeckers weren't any cooperative!
Still, these images tell so much - it's obviously an adult male and a sub-adult male, with the adult feeding the younger one, and how these birds clung to the broken branch could actually make one feel dizzy just looking at them!
