The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Asian Koel

The bird that refuses to leave!  I guess never is there one that 'annoys' so many with its 'morning calls', that I've been asked countless times what that bird with that ceaseless deafening (to most in the quiet early morn) calls is; in fact its calls are most reflective of its name 'ko-el'.

However the female Asian Koel's sharp and high-pitched 'kik-kik-kik' couldn't have been more different.

This one flew in most quietly and left likewise.

Pink-necked Green Pigeon

Time when we do not realise we intrude.

Time we focus on the wrong spot, issue.

Mine, what bright red feet!

And then there it was, was it why it was rather disconcerted.

Apologies for witnessing an uneasy moment!

Green-billed Malkoha

It's been too long since I last spotted the Green-billed Malkoha.

And almost missed it if it had not called out, and practically only metres away that I had to back off.

Always a joy to capture a big bird leap and lunge.

And a success!
