It's all in the antics.
Another songster that never fails to tease one's photographic skills.
The Eastern-crowned Warbler (Phylloscopus coronatus)(Cekup-Daun Raja Timur)(Cekup-Daun Tongkeng Kuning) has of late being spotted more often than the Arctic Warbler.
What's in a name?
'cekup' could mean to catch an insect in the palm, or to close palm over something, but 'burung cekup daun' refers to a warbler. However, 'crown' does not necessarily imply a 'raja' or a king, could also refer to the upper area of the head, so if 'raja timur' refers to king of the east, then a misnomer here. Perhaps 'cekup-daun tongkeng kuning' is more appropriate as 'tongkeng' could generally be used for tailbone, as in this case this warbler has pale yellow underpart coverts.
