Speedy, tiny, high up, and all over the place, couldn't decide how many there were, but undoubtedly Eastern-crowned Warblers going by the pale lower mandible sans dark tip, and pale yellow undertail coverts, suggesting young adults further affirmed by their moulting plumage.
Taman Rimba Kiara
A little green gem in a corner of the TTDI residential area.
The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Falconet vs Spiderhunter
One fine morning.
Look who dropped by, and I would have missed it if not for the following thrills!
As silently as it arrived it unexpectedly launched its offensive!
As a Chinese saying goes "a newborn calf fears not a tiger"....
And we have an easy winner!
But that's not the end. However it looked like an eventual graceful withdrawal in an assertion of territory by the park avian residents.
A deliberate fly-by?!

Common Hill Myna
Glossy and hardly black, striking with bright orangey bill, deep yellow head wattles, and yellow legs, these Common Hill Mynas can sure entertain visually and aurally, with its wide repertoire of whistles, shrieks, and astoundingly, throaty vocals that sounded like mumbling, rumbling or gurgling- all that contribute to their being prized caged birds.
A symphony for the morning!
Certainly not a common scene, them feeding on the fruits this Knema sp tree.

Asian Openbill
It's a case of seeing one, and more, and more, but it was still a surprise to see one in the bukit, a first then.
Moving stealthily along the water edge, this one could almost be missed if it had not moved.
