And there she was, the sub-adult Yellow-rumped Flycatcher, up front attempting for grubs again and again in the blazing sun, noon hours when feeding was not common.
Unfortunately I didn't witness any success as the young bird hopped, perched, flew from branch to branch but not once paused to down any catch.
What looked like success but wasn't as the bird flew down promptly to scan the immediate surrounding again.
