An unexpected sighting is almost always the most thrilling of any avian find.
I was halted immediately in my track by an unmistakable soft whistling, and seconds later a Siberian Blue Robin (Larvivora cyane) came into view, with another unmistakable trait of rapidly flitting its tail.
A total surprise as I thought this migrant visitor would already be on its way home.

And then I thought I was absolutely lucky that it obliged me with this.
Almost fearless that I had to back off.
