Indulging in the pigeons

It was like pigeon fever as the Pink-necked Pigeons were at the fruit tree every morning inviting one to photograph them.  And so I did without fail, addictive even, so there's no apologies over indulging in their presence.

The Pink-necked Green Pigeon is one common resident of the taman but even then it's not easy to view it up close.  The only time then is when this tree is fruiting and being preoccupied with eating it allowed prolonged photographic moments.
Against the fruiting tree it made up a dreamy scene.

Viewed from any angle it's simply lovely.

A pigeon eats

And there I was taken up with how the Pink-necked Pigeon ate its fruit.

It needed to chomp on what it had bitten off before it continued with its meal by twisting round to get to the other side.

I got to say that this bird ate like a child, choice bit by choice bit.

And then it's all over, with only the stalk left.
