The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

It's a park!

Archive image

It's not a bird, it's not, is not but it's a fish, a fruit, in a park, a taman, where there's a little something for someone who is looking.

Nurturing palm

The productive MacArthur Palm in its flowering, and different ripening stages, that will soon bring together different feasting birds.

A gorgeous and stunning display that's also reminiscent of the current celebratory colours of the Chinese Rat Year.

Nature is all embracing

Nature is most accepting
It does not pick which to nurture
And all flourishes

The bold and elegant
The prickly and lowly

The tempting, perhaps toxic

The stately but aged

The quiet and royal

The opportunist, the survivor

The showy and invasive

Fruits of the wild

Stunning colours and shapes.  Who would not be attracted to these?

Gorgeous huge bunch of the wild palm

Attractive even when it's drying up

Furry red clusters, exquisite green leaves
A coppersmith barbet with leftover sweetness on its beak after its feast

Wonder if these are a hard nut to crack!

Tantalising clusters
A yellow-vented bulbul stands guard over its pick

Stunning red goblet of a fruit, perhaps poisonous as it was left well alone

Pleasing shades of brown, only nature can create

Wild green banana, gorgeous maroon flower
