Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Silhouette

The group silhouette of Asian Glossy Starlings can be intriguing.  The seemingly black birds are actually glossy dark green, and hardly appealing to some.
AGS are common and often seen in flocks of adults and juveniles, found especially on fruiting trees.  Many do find them an annoyance because of the noise they create in flocks.
