The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Preening Juvenile

A preening bird is always a delight to photograph and if it's this Juvenile Crested Goshawk, it's a bonus, simply because it's a juvenile!
And still counting, this being the 19th day of observation, so couldn't see much difference yet since the last sighting four days ago.



First it fluffed.


Then it stretched - might be so needed because it would perch for long at one spot.





And it scratched too!


And then it's back to its normal perch and scanning around, instantly reacting to any sound in its immediate surrounding.
