A little green gem in a corner of the TTDI residential area.
The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

The smallest raptor
I was as surprised as I was thrilled to see the Black-thighed Falconet preening in the hot noon, up high on the very tip of a bare branch. It flew off and came back and flew off and came back, like it was playing a game. This smallest of raptors does have an adorable look from this angle.
It's always a thrill to capture the bird 'flaring up', its classic pose.
Preening in the breezy albeit hot noon must be truly relaxing!
