Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The Warblers

I had to relook images taken couple of weeks ago to find out if  I had wrongly identified those as arctic warblers whilst it could be that of the Eastern Crowned Warblers.  By contrast, the latter has whiter underparts, yellower-green upper parts, pale yellow lower tail coverts and more conspicuous wing bar.  More noticeably, would be the well-defined pale median stripe on darker crown most distinct towards the rear and pale lower mandible with no dark tip.
The ECWs are uncommon migrants, frequent forest, gardens and parks, and could be from Russia, China, Korea or Japan whilst the AWs are considered common migrants.
And indeed, the Eastern Crowned Warbler has made its transit in the taman.

And then I found it too, more recently, in Bukit Kiara.

By contrast the following images are that of the Arctic Warbler.
