Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

And the herons are here

The Pond Herons (Ardeola) (most certainly Chinese PH as ascertained for the last few years) have finally made their reappearance after being seen for the first time since weeks ago.  I counted it fortunate that I managed to capture these two together on my first sighting this season.

And going by their current plumage, these birds will take a couple of weeks more to assume breeding plumage.

It looked like some behaviours remain the same, and as before, of these two, one seemed to be shyer than the other, always remaining in the background.
