A juvenile Black-naped Oriole left on its own was one noisy and curious one.
Perhaps it was deliberately left alone as an adult was never far off. The young one was also observed as constantly trying to play catch up with the parent.
Occasionally it's seen to be happy to be alone, but occasionally oriole calls and cries pierced dense foliage, and yellow glimpses revealed flurries of pursuits.
Was it instinct as even this young one seemed to choose the best position where it could not be directly or openly sighted or approached as it paused to sun and dry.
