Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Captivating white-eyes

It's almost a perfect palette of delightful hues of lime green, lemon green and olive green with splashes of sunshine yellow.  And only Nature could so artfully intersperse the blend with strokes of rugged gray and brown.

The flock of Hume's White-eyes came and went in a din of high pitched 'tzeets' and flurry of movements, and their beauty surely could only be fully appreciated when one views thereafter their images.

An endearing moment.

A momentary wariness as the parent and juvenile sat out the presence of a foraging plantain squirrel.

And then another burst of flapping wings when they fled off.
