Orange-bellied Flowerpecker

 It might be for mere seconds of presence but the Orange-bellied Kingfisher certainly had me befuddled with its antics, its preoccupation. 

And thus this one, intriguing from the minute it flew into the spider web, almost,  till it fled, what seemed to be its exasperation as it pranced and shrieked.

Up and again ....

And again ....

And again ... all within mere seconds, and then the performance was suddenly all over!

Banded Woodpecker

One of the most vibrant of colours, of woodpeckers, the Banded Woodpecker.  Also unmistakably vocal when present.

 A teaser this time, flying right past me, and then enticing from above, foraging from branch to branch - will it or will it not, taxing a birder's patience, alas, it will not.
