Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Foraging Goshawk

The Crested Goshawk hunts everywhere, from on the ground to the palm tree.
Unfortunately, it must have been misled when it was seen to aim for the ground and all it got was just mud on its beak.

From its perch, it swooped down to 'nothingness'.

I encountered it again the next day, flying into an oil palm tree, again, didn't seem to attain anything.  Another false lead!

Even as it ventured deeper into the tree.
