Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Little adorable raptor

This is the tiniest raptor and looks simply adorable.  However, the Black-thighed Falconet is seen to perch high most of the time so to get good images is pretty challenging.  Furthermore, it normally perches quietly so one is not easily alerted to its presence.  Yet its razor-sharp sight can spot easily any tiny prey.
