Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The barbet and the oriole

It was a coming together for a common cause - the Lineated Barbet and the Black-naped Oriole.
It was solo feasting until the other flew in.

Food does bring man and beasts together.  And there was more than enough for both these birds.

It looked like the young Oriole was feasting under the watchful eyes of the adult which was observing from the side.
