It was the smallest cuckoo I've seen and at that point in time I simply couldn't identify it. Then it struck me that it could be THE smallest one, namely the Little Bronze Cuckoo but it was not an easy task trying to nail it down as this small one kept mainly to the upper canopy and was feeding voraciously and ceaselessly.
To make it doubly difficult to id, it was also because this female was an immature, relatively rarely sighted.
Its barely discernible bronze back made it just enough to reaffirm its id.
Just when I almost gave up for better images, a brief respite was provided when it finally descended lower for another caterpillar.
