First there was one, then two, and could this be a third? Or was it the same sub-adult Square-tailed Drongo-cuckoo from before? However this sub-adult still carried a couple of white specks and on achieving full adulthood would display totally metallic bluish-greenish-black plumage.
This one had come way down to the river bank for its caterpillar catch.
A challenging bird to photograph to do justice to its beautiful glossy plumage. And its location hardly allows a frontal view to show off the white barrings on the undertail and vent.
