Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Ever the watchful waterhen

I've got to give it to the White-breasted Waterhens in the taman for being probably the most skittish ones here despite being exposed to constant human presence.

These waterhens can truly sense your approach from far off, but this time I managed to seek a hide behind a tree but still was unable to approach any closer before they were alerted again.

This was the less alert one, even then for seconds must have suspected that it was being watched.
