Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The nurturing contiunes, III/V

I missed the fledging of the IT pair's juvenile, but the later sighting of this already young adult, two weeks later, more than made up for it.

Initially I had thought that it's an adult of the CP Pair foraging for its young, and that it's strange that it's struggling hard to strike dead its insect prey.

At a point it almost lost the prey before it managed to catch it back.

... until another flew in and relieved the prey off it.

Could the parent be trying to help the juvenile with the prey?

Looked like the juvenile managed to regain its catch as it hopped off with the insect, a playful move or already learning to be possessive!?

And the prey looked very much alive as the juvenile continued to strike it on the branch.

And back it went to the parent to finish off its meal, in the secured presence of its parent.
Guessed it's not ready to be independent yet!

All alone again.
