Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A flowerpecker entertains

When this gorgeous male Orange-bellied Flowerpecker (Dicaeum trigonostigma) flew in I felt like being given a treat!

And not expecting more other than the usual ingestion and hygiene.

But what a treat, when it decided that it wanted more than a clean-up.  It went for a wash-up!  And in one that no man can ever built!

And there's a favoured way to do so too.

All out to relax, so tongue out!

And wiggle-waggle too!

Enjoy, but not letting its guard down either, as it kept a look-out.

But it's only the female after all who perhaps wanted some fun too.

Not sharing?

So was she chased off and told to go feed?!

And the male decided that it should enjoy its two-tiered 'pool', as it descended to the lower level.

A rather risky venture, or was it thrill to brave the minuscule water pool?

The upper deck's still best after all.

Until it realised its privacy's invaded!
