Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Butterfly moment

The butterfly species in the taman are not great but it's easy to come across more than one when walking in the taman.  I was truly entertained by this pair of Striped Black Crow (euploea eyndhovii gardineri) one evening as they twirled in the breezy evening.

Meanwhile, this lone one was just across the next plant with its own preoccupation.
