Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Captivating life forms

These fungi stopped me in my tracks.  Stunning and riveting, fascinating.  Nature is indeed its own artist.

And then on the other side of the taman, a fallen branch, a ripped-off bark, possibly due to the current harsh wet weather, offered a fascinating look into the inner layer of the trunk.

The morning light played on the colours of the inner make-up, one looking rich shades of orange, the other creamy chocolatey.
