The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

Nesting Bulbul, Part 3

There were two chicks as expected.

5 June

It was simply fascinating to watch the chicks quivering for food, and also the way the adult feed the chicks, putting the catch right into the chicks' throats.  Sometimes the adult looked like it couldn't decide which chick to feed first.

The chicks were ever hungry, wanting to be fed throughout the day.  In fact feeding seemed like less than fifteen minutes' apart.

As usual, the adult trying to intimidate me when it noticed my presence.

I realised that it had been only three days ago that I noticed the start of the feeding frenzy, and oh mine, how the chicks had grown!

Feathers on the chicks were more visible now.

Man or beast, every parent loves its young.  This Bulbul is no less loving.

The chicks grew fast as feathers became thicker, and their features are more developed and distinct now.

It's not a surprise with the intense daily feeding that the chicks grew rapidly.
