Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Feeding Sunbirds

The Brown-throated (Plain-throated) Sunbird is one of the easiest birds to locate in the taman because of its calls.  However to catch it up close foraging is rather challenging because of its rapid movements.  On these two occasions, I had to be satisfied, erstwhile, with these images.

The next day a male (may or may not be the same one) was shot with a female at another spot, this time in different action.
