Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A Dove reacts

It was fascinating to observe the Spotted Dove reacting to the incessant calls of a nearby Asian Koel.  Although the Koel was no where to be seen, its calls were loud and in earnest.  It's breeding season after all!
Like a nervous man whose hairs stand on ends, the Dove displayed throat feathers that seemed to puff stiff!
