The firmiana malayana or mata lembu, remains here in testimony to man's care-less-ness - its tree had since been felled. Let not the birds leave too.

A Tailorbird that lives up to its name

It has been too too long since I last saw this tiny Common Tailorbird.  At only about 13 cm, this bird is not easy to spot unless it's loud or moving continuously.  It is pretty loud for a tiny bird when it calls and not easy to nail down even when spotted.  It's commonly spotted in parks and house gardens.
But if one has a chance to witness it building nest, one will marvel at its weaving skill, perhaps that's how it got its name.
