Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Minivet again

It looks like this pair of Ashy Minivet are here to spend winter.  The pair have been seen to forage around the taman for a couple of months already.  And why not, when feeding trees are aplenty!  Some migratory birds are seen to keep to only certain parts of the taman but not this pair.
This sighting was also special in the sense that more and more birds are now seen to forage in trees in the car park.

I could see that the pair was having a field day, flying between the trees, foraging and preening.

And I just had to go on capturing images of the bird to ensure that I got it from different angles, and despite its not so bright colours it's still an attractive bird.
