Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Pride of the Fowl

My, how it has grown in two months - the long tail feathers of the Red Jungle Fowl attracted my attention immediately and I dare say that it is the same one with short tail feathers I saw a couple of months back.  As usual its shyness is its virtue as it kept retreating when it sensed me approaching.  Good for it, for this fowl is indeed a favourite of poachers.

A couple of months ago it looked like this.

With its present beautiful long tail feathers.
