Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The other beauties

It's definitely not just birds that the taman offers.  Walking around I couldn't help but be elated by the other beauties in the taman.
I didn't realise the palm tree could flower so beautifully.

And before I knew it I saw bees all over the flowers.

By the river, if we can get beyond our bias, we can acknowledge how this Monitor Lizard is really striking too in its own way.

Turning around I was taken aback by this Dragonfly, a different species I have not seen before, gorgeous and stunning.

The river water teemed with fishes and the rushing water that morning saw the fishes, so many different types and sizes, tarry awhile against the current and foraging right in front of me.

I almost missed another beauty which was resting quietly, merely a couple of feet from where I was standing, a Garden Fence Lizard.
