Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Munia to the rescue

I would be thankful to this single Scaly-breasted Munia who made my day, otherwise I would have returned home 'click-less'.  And observing the abundant wild grass around but practically seedless now, I guess the grass seeds must have been consumed in the last couple of days that I have not been to the taman, and so missed that wonderful sight of these birds descending like an army on the grass.
