Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

The other Flycatcher

This has to be a record longest staying Dark-sided Flycatcher in the taman.  It also seemed to be more 'adventurous' as it has been sighted in varied spots in the taman, unlike the Asian Brown Flycatcher which is normally spotted in more or less the regular areas.
The Dark-sided is usually solitary and prefers the higher storeys of the tree.  It could originate from northern India, Siberia, north-eastern and western China, and even from Korea or Japan.
