Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Feasting time

It looked like the entire Javan Myna population of the taman has descended on this stone slab - approaching it, the birds naturally flew away and I saw what caused the feeding frenzy - mealworms.  Still couldn't explain how these mealworms got there.  The presence of the mealworms probably explained why there was an unnatural buzz of noise and flights among the birds  around the area, about half an hour before.
However, there was a lone one on a  nearby palm tree, looking quite lost and agitated, missing out on the action!

Perhaps, wondering where the others were!
