The keen eye of a fellow birder caught a pair of red-tailed racers or rat snakes, commonly spotted in the bukit, cosying up on a branch. And I was lucky enough to catch the tell-tale sign of one's presence the next day.
Ants seem to have their day already with the skin.
It's simply a gorgeous piece of skin sheath, and skin sheathing is certainly a phenomenon sadly missed by many of us for these creatures would normally quietly do so away from our prying eyes.
Perhaps the couple of days of quiet due to the enforcement of MCO 3.0 has encouraged this one, and its mate, to be out relatively in the open.
The tail was artfully draped over the branch.
Tracing the mesh-like body skin for a closer appreciation.
