Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Awaiting, perhaps cuckoo

With this size caterpillar around, I can't wait for the arrival of any cuckoo, especially the migrant ones as such large preys are their favourite.

This Black-naped Oriole seemed to have quite a battle swinging and bashing its caterpillar prey to knock it off, but promptly disappeared behind the trunk to devour it as it spotted me.
