Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Here today, gone tomorrow

It just took an over-zealous worker who apparently misunderstood instructions, cleared an entire area that was beginning to attract the Scaly-breasted Munia because of the ripe grassy seeds.
I had such joy watching the Munias feeding freely and openly on the grass seeds just the day before.

To my horror and utter dismay, the entire area was cleared clean, absolutely wiped out, the very next day, in the name of maintenance!
