Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Woodypeckers out!
A family of Common Flameback Woodpeckers having their afternoon outing - one male and three females including sub-adults (minus a male) could be almost the entire Woodypecker family of the taman! Two females on the left tree, and a male and female on the right.
The female and sub-adult female.
In the morning this pair was on the same tree.
And also these two males, preening in the lovely sunny morning.
